Detailling rear wing

Detailling rear wing

The rear wing is a piece of resin, with a base of copper wire which gives rigidity. The wing is divided into two parts, a rear, narrower and thinner than the front, which are joined by three holders and superimposed.

I open the gap between the wings and fill the many bubbles that brings the piece of resin.

This is the kit I have selected for this year Modeling Fight. It’s the McLaren F1 GTR which raced in the 24h of Le Mans in 1996 with the number 30.

Once assembled, is practically not see anything inside, so the detailed will be minimal.
Perhaps most can see, is the air inlet tube to the cabin, which does not bring the kit but is easy to simulate with a plastic tube and wire.

Beginning the assembly of this historical with an spectacular Martini decoration.

It´s a Madyero resin kit, with a few photoetched and white metal parts, I have to say that is not bad for a PimPamPum (fast and funny assembly).

I gave the first coat of primer and paneling, after I start the detailed, first adding two metal tubes that will guide me in mounting the rear wing.

The sides of rear wing are slim to the maximum to give more realism. The right has already begun shaping, although do not see too much in the photo.
